Game Description

Ninkyo Dantai II is a 3D beat ’em up, role-playing, story-driven game focusing on how three would-be heroes cross paths on opposite sides of the law.

Take a front-row seat to 1980s life in Japan, explore how the Yakuza underworld is involved in a conspiracy to launder money and commit provoked arson attacks around the region.

When the game is begun, you can choose to start between any of the three available protagonists. You can change characters once their tutorial is complete.

Time Periods

  • In Ninkyo Dantai II, as the story progresses, you may notice the game world change around you. Constructions in the city in the 80s may begin and end in the 00’s.  Buildings may open and close down.

Character Profiles

Sean Akiyama

Born in America but transferred to Tokyo, Japan when he was six, lives inside a lawless city block. Pick-pocketers and low-life thugs prey on innocent people, which was not a place he liked to call home.

Parents were not able to keep up with the rent for their small apartment, were soon forcefully kicked to the streets, and got into trouble with the local loan sharks.

His parents were both killed in their apartment fire after coming home from baseball practice; the Police told him the bad news.

The police ruled the case as an accidental fire and did not look further into it.

A badge pin was left at the crime scene that pinpointed towards a certain family; Sean took the badge pin with him.

When he was 16 he had a fight with a few bullies and got expelled.

He spent two years in his youth being homeless without a choice so he has picked up a few skills.

He now lives on the streets, has no money, has no home, and is practically homeless.

Interest rate kept increasing for over two years and has inherited their parents wealth. He owes 100,000,000 yen to the local loan shark, for which he has to make weekly payments automatically.

Thomas Kobayashi

Thomas is an ex-convict who works as a full-time dock worker, and in his spare time goes out fishing with his father’s boat.

After his house is set on fire and loses everything, Thomas enters the world of crime and the Yakuza. Discover how his life is changed for the worst.

Kasey Taira

Kasey is a personal investigator who works outside of her rundown office. Explore how her paths intercept with the other two characters.
